The Kaizen principle is a Japanese management philosophy which literally translates to continuous improvement. It is an individual tool though it easily complements the 5s framework. Kaizen helps to improve productivity of an organization simply by taking incremental steps towards continuous improvement. In our Noida & Greater Noida factories, we duly respect kaizen as it helps a lot in making us better.
5S framework is a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words: seiri (整理), seiton (整頓), seisō (清掃), seiketsu (清潔), and shitsuke (躾). These have been translated as "Sort", "Set In order", "Shine", "Standardize" and "Sustain". We have dedicatedly implemented it in our Noida Sector 63 and Greater noida plants. The list describes how to organize a work space for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining the new order. The decision-making process usually comes from a dialogue about standardization, which builds understanding among our employees about how they should do the work.
Lean manufacturing or lean production, often simply "lean", is a systematic method for waste minimization ("Muda") which we have implemented within our manufacturing system without sacrificing productivity, which can cause problems. Lean also takes into account waste created through overburden ("Muri") and waste created through unevenness in our work loads ("Mura"). Working from the perspective of the client who consumes a product or service, "value" is any action or process that a customer would be willing to pay for. We always make sure that all of the other frameworks such as 5s framework & kaizen can be easily comprehensible at both of Noida and Greater Noida plants.
